Leader: 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
All: 23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Praise

Intro
Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord

Verse 1
I’ll praise in the valley
Praise on the mountain
I’ll praise when I’m sure
Praise when I’m doubting
I’ll praise when outnumbered
Praise when surrounded
'Cause praise is the water
My enemies drown in

Pre-Chorus
As long as I’m breathing
I’ve got a reason to

Chorus 1
Praise the Lord oh my soul
Praise the Lord oh my soul

Verse 2
I’ll praise when I feel it
And I’ll praise when I don’t
I’ll praise 'cause I know
You’re still in control
'Cause my praise is a weapon
It’s more than a sound
My praise is the shout
That brings Jericho down

Chorus 2
Praise the Lord oh my soul
Praise the Lord oh my soul
I won’t be quiet
My God is alive
How could I keep it inside
Praise the Lord oh my soul

Bridge
I’ll praise 'cause You’re sovereign
Praise 'cause You reign
Praise 'cause You rose and defeated the grave
I’ll praise 'cause You’re faithful
Praise 'cause You’re true
Praise 'cause there’s nobody greater than You

Chorus 3
Praise the Lord oh my soul
Praise the Lord oh my soul
Praise the Lord oh my soul
Praise the Lord oh my soul
I won’t be quiet
My God is alive
How could I keep it inside
I won’t be quiet
My God is alive
How could I keep it inside
I won’t be quiet
My God is alive
How could I keep it inside
Praise the Lord oh my soul

Ending
Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord

Yes I Will

Verse
I count on one thing
The same God that never fails
Will not fail me now
You won't fail me now
In the waiting
The same God who's never late
Is working all things out
You're working all things out

Chorus
Yes I will lift You high
In the lowest valley
Yes I will bless Your name
Yes I will sing for joy
When my heart is heavy
All my days yes I will

Bridge
I choose to praise
To glorify glorify
The name of all names
That nothing can stand against

Tag
For all my days
Yes I will

Confession & Assurance

Leader: Please join us in this prayer of confession, reading the words in bold.

Leader: Merciful God, you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you. We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy. We have not loved you with a pure heart, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not done justice, loved kindness, or walked humbly with you, our God. Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness. In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.

All: Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Do not cast us from your presence, or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and sustain us with your bountiful Spirit through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Leader: Hear these words of assurance from Psalm 103:11-13: “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

All: as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Leader: As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.”

Leader: (Pray for the rest of the service, including the kids.)

Leader: Kids, you are dismissed to your classrooms. Everyone else, please greet those around you!

Scripture Reading: Psalm 42-43

Leader: Please return and remain standing (as you are able) for today’s Scripture reading from Psalm 42-43. After the reading, the response will be, “Thanks be to God.”

For the director of music. A maskil of the Sons of Korah.
1 As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food
day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
under the protection of the Mighty One
with shouts of joy and praise
among the festive throng.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
6 My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
7 Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
8 By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
9 I say to God my Rock,
“Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?”
10 My bones suffer mortal agony
as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
11 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
deceitful and wicked.
2 You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?
3 Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Leader: The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God!

Leader: You may be seated.

Always Good

Verse 1
Do you remember how Mary was grieving
How you wept and she fell at your feet
If it's true that you know what I'm feeling
Could it be that you're weeping with me
Arise O Lord and save me
There's nowhere else to go

Chorus 1
You're always good always good
Well somehow this sorrow is
Shaping my heart like it should
And you're always good always good

Verse 2
Well it's so hard to know what you're doin'
So why won't you tell it all plain
But you said you'd come back on the third day
And Peter missed it again and again
So maybe the answer surrounds us
But we don't have eyes to see

Chorus 2
That you're always good always good
This heartache is moving me closer
Than joy ever could and you're always good

Bridge
My God my God be near me
There's nowhere else to go
And Lord if you can hear me
Please help your child to know

Chorus 3
That you're always good always good
As we try to believe
What is not meant to be understood
Will you help us to trust
Your intentions for us are still good
'Cause you laid down your life
And you suffered like I never could

Ending
And you're always good always good
You're always good always good

Prayers of the People & Communion

King Of Kings

Verse 1
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope without light
Till from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes

To fulfil the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt

Chorus
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit three in one
God of Glory
Majesty
Praise forever to the King of kings

Verse 2
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross

For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died

Verse 3
And the morning that You rose
All of heaven held its breath
Till that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death

And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who'd come
To the Father are restored

Verse 4
And the Church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this Gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel shall not faint

By His blood and in His Name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me
