Leader: 5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
All: 6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

Leader: 7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
All: People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Leader: Let’s lift up our hearts and voices in worship!

The Lord Almighty Reigns (Psalm 93)

Verse 1
Behold Him robed in majesty
Crowned with strength and glory
Holy is our King
Behold Him though the waters rage
Breakers bow before Him tides rush to obey

Chorus 1
He reigns when oceans roar
He reigns above the storm
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns

Verse 2
Behold Him stronger than the seas
God from everlasting
Just in His decrees
Behold Him worthy of our trust
Faithful to His promise ever here with us

Chorus 2
He reigns when oceans roar
He reigns above the storm
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
He reigns amidst the flood
He reigns with grace and love
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns

Bridge
Wind and waves are stilled in reverence
Thunder trembles in Your presence
You will hold us in the tempest
You will not be moved You will not be moved
You will not be moved You will not be moved

Ending
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns

O valley be raised up
O mountain be made low

Only A Holy God

Verse 1
Who else commands all the hosts of heaven
Who else could make every king bow down
Who else can whisper and darkness trembles
Only a Holy God

Verse 2
What other beauty demands such praises
What other splendour outshines the sun
What other majesty rules with justice
Only a Holy God

Chorus
Come and behold Him
The One and the Only
Cry out sing holy
Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God

Verse 3
What other glory consumes like fire
What other power can raise the dead
What other name remains undefeated
Only a Holy God

Verse 4
Who else could rescue me from my failing
Who else would offer His only Son
Who else invites me to call Him Father
Only a Holy God
Only my Holy God

Confession & Assurance

Leader: Let us pray this prayer of confession together:

All: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Leader: Sisters and brothers, hear the good news: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom 5:8)

All: “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Col 1:13)

Leader: (Prayer.)

Leader: Kids, you are dismissed to your classrooms. Everyone else, please greet those around you!

Scripture Reading:

Amos 5:18-27 (NIV)

Leader: Please return and remain standing (as you are able) for today’s Scripture reading from Amos 5. After the reading, the response will be, “Thanks be to God.”

18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the Lord!
Why do you long for the day of the Lord?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.
20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 But let justice roll on like a river,
righteousness like a never-failing stream!
25 “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
the pedestal of your idols,
the star of your god—
which you made for yourselves.
27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,”
says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

Leader: The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God!

Leader: You may be seated.

Prayers of the People & Communion

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)

Verse 1
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

Verse 2
One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

Pre-Chorus
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His (perfect) (reckless) love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated

Chorus
Now forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen
He is alive and He is alive
(REPEAT)

Bridge
We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah the Lamb has overcome
(REPEAT)

We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah

Ending
And now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has overcome
He's overcome oh
