How Vast The Love
Verse 1
Come gaze upon your Savior
Behold your great High Priest
Draw near in awe and wonder
His cross has spoken peace
Verse 2
Come rest from sin and striving
Find endless stores of grace
The heart that turns to Jesus
Is cleansed from every stain
Chorus
Oh how deep how wide how long
Oh how vast the love of Jesus
Oh how sure how sweet how strong
Oh how vast His love for us
Verse 3
So lift your eyes to Jesus
Arise from doubt and shame
His blood cries it is finished
Our life is in His name
Chorus
Oh how deep how wide how long
Oh how vast the love of Jesus
Oh how sure how sweet how strong
Oh how vast His love for us
Verse 4
What now can separate us
Can death or pain or fear
We have this strong assurance
In Christ we've been brought near
Verse 5
And in His strength we'll labor
His promises our hope
Thus far His love has led us
His love will lead us home
Chorus
Oh how deep how wide how long
Oh how vast the love of Jesus
Oh how sure how sweet how strong
Oh how vast His love for us

Oh how deep how wide how long
Oh how vast the love of Jesus

The Lord Almighty Reigns (Psalm 93)
Verse 1
Behold Him robed in majesty
Crowned with strength and glory
Holy is our King
Behold Him though the waters rage
Breakers bow before Him tides rush to obey
Chorus 1
He reigns when oceans roar
He reigns above the storm
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
Verse 2
Behold Him stronger than the seas
God from everlasting
Just in His decrees
Behold Him worthy of our trust
Faithful to His promise ever here with us
Chorus 2
He reigns when oceans roar
He reigns above the storm
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
He reigns amidst the flood
He reigns with grace and love
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
Bridge
Wind and waves are stilled in reverence
Thunder trembles in Your presence
You will hold us in the tempest
You will not be moved You will not be moved
You will not be moved You will not be moved
Ending
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns
Enthroned on high the Lord Almighty reigns

Children Of God
Verse 1
Praise to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
Our God and our King to Him we will sing
In His great mercy He has given us life
Now we can be called the children of God
Pre-Chorus
Great is the love that the Father has given us
He has delivered us
He has delivered us
Chorus 1
Children of God sing your song and rejoice
For the love that He has given us all
Oh children of God
By the blood of His Son we have been redeemed
And we can be called children of God
Children of God
Verse 2
The mystery is revealed to the universe
The Father above has proven His love
Now we are free from the judgment that we deserve
So we are called the children of God
Bridge
We are the saints
We are the children
We've been redeemed
We've been forgiven
We are the sons and daughters of our God
(REPEAT)
Chorus 2
Children of God sing your song and rejoice
For the love that He has given us all
Oh children of God
By the blood of His Son we have been redeemed
And we can be called children of God

Confession & Assurance
Leader: Please join us in this prayer of confession from Psalm 130, reading the words in bold.
Leader: 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
All: 3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
Leader: 5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
6 I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.
All: 7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
Leader: Hear these words of assurance from 1 John 1:7, 9.
Leader: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
All: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Leader: (Prayer)
Scripture Reading: 1 John 3:19-24 (NIV)
Leader: Please return and remain standing (as you are able) for today’s Scripture reading from 1 John 3:19-24. After the reading, the response will be, “Thanks be to God.”
19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
Leader: The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God!
Leader: You may be seated.
Message: Pastor Tim Allen
“Live in Confidence” (1 John 3:19-24)
Bottom Line: Live in confidence as children of God!
- We can live in confidence because God knows us better than we know ourselves (vv. 19-20).
- We can live in confidence because God hears and answers our prayer (vv. 21-22).
- We can live in confidence because God calls us to believe in Jesus and love one another (v. 23).
- We can live in confidence because God abides in us through the gift of his Spirit (v. 24).
Bottom Line: Love one another like Jesus!
